This is a response to the response from Henry's with regards to my review. A couple of important facts: 1) No-one ever mentioned anything about disassembly and reassembly fees when we submitted the mower. 2) The primary excuse provided by the person I talked to following the receipt of this disassembled engine was to the effect that 'our policy is on the wall in our place of business'. Unfortunately my wife would have had to have some type of superpower to have seen this policy through the telephone lines. Observing that we ... read more

Business response:

1) We do not disassemble equipment just for spite as we were accused of in Mr. N******* original complaint. 2) Mr. N***** "assumed" our process without asking any questions. 3) Our superpowers do not allow us to know that Mr. N***** has not been in our place of business, and is unaware of our policies. I provided Henry's with a functional ********** riding lawnmower (used it the day before they picked it up and drove it onto their trailer) and because, after their analysis (which of course cost me $75 + a pickup and delivery fee of $60) I chose to not have the repair work performed on it for the price being requested, they simply returned this mower and a box of over 30 engine parts that they had disassembled. So in essence, I gave them a mower that was working when they received it, and because I chose not to have them re... read more

Business response:

The mower in question, was received with a complaint of "burning oil, spitting and sputtering" the engine barely ran. If the unit ran so good, then why was it being brought in for repair? It did not have enough power to power the cutting deck. Our trouble shooting did require disassembly of the engine to give an accurate estimate. The customer chose not to repair the unit. Our policy is that for an "additional fee" any unit disassembled for an est. will be reassembled. Yes we have a fee for pick up and del, and yes we have ... read more

I dropped my mower off.I told his employee it was leaking gas out the front when I started it.His employee said it was probably a needle that gets stuck in the carburator. They called me 2 weeks later, they said it could use several different things. They said they would fix it for 612.00..They said they would dispose of it if I wanted.I said know,I would pick it up.They charged me 75.00They loaded it on my trailor with a lift. The engine was torn apart, the wheels were locked up.The engine parts were in a box on the seat.I have ... read more

Business response:

The customer did bring a mower to be repaired. We did give her an estimate to repair her mower, we are very thorough to prevent come backs. We have signs stating that disassembly may be required to obtain an accurate estimate, and that the equipment will not be reassembled if the repair is declined. Ms. B***** informed us that she did not want to repair the mower and did not know what to do with it, that is when we said we could dispose of it for her. We regret that Ms. B***** had such an experience, because we pride ourselv... read more
