El lugar es horrible lo peor que he experimentado mi hermano estuvo ahí y estuvo expuesto en muchas ocasiones a trato cruel no lo recomiendo si de verdad amas a tu ser querido no lo expongas a este lugar
My experience in the Henry J. Carter Hospital and nursing home was one that traumatized me for the rest of my life. This place has incredibly big administrative failures that jeopardize the well-being of anyone who is in this institution. Many times, I felt I was in a chamber of horrors. I was left five hours dirty, sitting in my own feces, I was left for over four hours waiting for someone to feed me because I am disabled and it was impossible for me to do so on my own. Whatever you do don’t put your loved ones here!!! My Grandmother suffered a major stroke on July 2 2025 and she was in MONTEFIORE hospital in the Bronx for over a month… The Social workers at MONTEFIORE suggested my grandmother go to Henry J Carter to continue her rehab they were telling us how good it was so we decided to take her here…. There was no compassion, no communication, and zero sense of urgency unless you were someone they personally ... read more
This place has favoritism towards certain residents due to the fact that their family work in Carter. If you want your family to progress you don’t bring them to a place like this. They are short staff and the nurses never helped. I watched my mom deteriorate while being here. The aides are nice but the nurses forget about it.
