I wound up at HFH emergency while on a trip to Detroit, and I can’t say l enough good things about the staff here, especially the nurses. It is so scary to be hospitalized away from home, and every single person here was kind, empathetic, explained each and every procedure in great detail, and made me feel like I wasn’t alone. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Was just in there for delivery. I had a c-section and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had (as this is not my first c-section) 1st nurse we had was absolutely wonderful made me extremely comfortable even back in the or she was great!! Once I got in the operating room i was given blood pressure medication after the doctor stated it was not necessary causing my blood pressure to spike way up and then extremely dangerously low. This experience left me shocked. I called the Henry Ford ER to ask for an approximate wait time due to my mother hitting her head. The staff member would not provide any estimate and then disconnected the call without explanation. Regardless of policy, professionalism and basic courtesy should be standard in emergency care
