One of the worst experiences in the ER I have ever experienced! I arrived with my MIL who is 78 years old, she fell at home & you could clearly see she broke her wrist. She was in so much pain. We arrived on 3/14 around 8:30pm on Saturday evening & after several long hours of sitting in the waiting room without seeing a Dr or addressing our concerns & also hearing others had been sitting there since 5pm we left the ER at 5:30am Sunday morning 3/15. I had the most amazing and caring experience ever at a hospital. I had an emergency and called EMS at 5 am in the morning. I had to stay and had surgery to take out my appendix. Very serious. From beginning to end, my experience with the staff was kind, always there, accommodating, and informative. I want Henry Ford hospital to look into EVERY staff member involved in my devastating life experience and I would love them to be thanked personally for all they did. Worst ER I've every encountered. We were there last night and granted it was pure craziness however; that does not me that it's okay for a nurse to yell at you "YOU ARE NOT A PRIORITY". All we asked for was for an IV to be removed so we could leave even without discharge papers. We were NEVER assigned a nurse, the nurse that put the IV in forgot to take the tourniquet band off so blood sprayed out of the IV line due to pressure. She laughed and said "OOPS", seriously! Everyone was good from the doctors to the nurses they checked on me. They made sure I was comfortable. And not in pain and they was fast.
