After my experience, I later spoke with other mothers about what I went through with Dr. Thomas Wright. During my admission at Genesys Hospital with my first child, Dr. Wright entered my room with his residents. He did not speak to me, nor did he ask me any questions. Despite this, I later discovered that Dr. Wright documented negative and untrue statements about me in my medical record. The worst ER ever!! Extreme wait to be seen, no real nurses staff since strike, misdiagnosed several family members and discharged after long hours with no treatment or even an idea of what could be wrong, just sent home!! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!!!
I was involved in a motorcycle accident at the beginning of August (2025), broken femur, shattered foot, and both forearms broken. 10 fractures. I was in the ER, the ICU briefly, surgery 3 times, and on the Ortho floor for almost 3 weeks. I have nothing to say but praise, everyone from start to finish was very kind and most were very considerate. All the nurses were very nice but most certainly understaffed. I used to like Genesys but since it switched to Henry Ford I’m not impressed at all. My husband was seen in ER June 23rd. Discharge paperwork said all results would be sent to primary immediately. Never happened we finally had to take the results to primary ourselves to get a referral to a cardiologist. We can’t even get a new Dr assigned to the office we use because of the Henry Ford. They need to get things taken care of.
Genesys had been my choice of hospital for over 19 years...my last stay was the worst experience in my life. The worst icu care..I have even reach out 5 times to the patient advocate and never received a call back. I was told by a social worker of the hospital and a nurse to contact a lawyer because of my experience
