RecommendedHenry Cowell Redwoods State Park is an amazing state park. It has the perfect one mile loop trail among mature, towering redwood trees and there is a beautiful River to enjoy & the accompaning nearby riparian habitat. It makes a nice ecotone with the Redwood dominated evergreen forest. The meadow and vast forest view is amazing. There is also a sandhill habitat that has Ponderosa Pines outside of the Sierra Nevada, a rare occurance. I've never met anyone who disliked their visit to Henry Cowell.
