Best qualified staff. While being unconscious, I didn't get to choose my medically required EMT and ambulance service provider. But I found HCMC has the most qualified EMT staff available, and didn't let me die before getting to the ER. I thought that was worth five star's for not killing me while in their transportation to the hospital. Even advised my attending physician on the manufacturer's operational parameters of a new medical diagnostic piece of equipment being used while I was in transport. Unbelievable that a paramedic in uniform standing by her rig would just toss her Marlboro cancer stick on the ground like she has a God given right to litter. She then got defensive and acted like i was the one doing something wrong when conftonted about it.
They will not answer a simple question of why they repeatedly refused my request to be taken anywhere other than VA. The lied on their records, lady chuckled when I asked for an explanation for the errors. Said someone would be following up. They never did.
