Most staff are very unprofessional and don't care about you. I've been there at least 5 times to know. Every visit their I would catch staff together laughing at clients. I've written grievance about it and never received a response.
Don't let the looks fool you. I only was here for a couple of hours before I had a medical emergency that required me to leave but I firmly believe this was the right place for me to be to do what needed to be done. The staff there were down to earth, attentive, and supportive. Theres a good mix of people from all walks of life there but when you need help you don't get to pick and choose. Overall this is a good place to get started on your journey to sobriety.
Absolutely terrible for my son to be referred there ! It is NOT safe and he was violated and had to go to HCMC ! Do NOT go to 1800 Chicago Ave Minneapolis for detox or withdrawal management!! Please doNOT use this facility!
good place to go if you're hungry and homeless. They give you lots of food and coffee. Wouldn't refer anyone here for detox though, they don't help you and they seem like they don't really care (not ALL the staff). I remember a staff member at the front desk tweaking on something , she looked like she was trippin on multiple things like acid and coke and meth idk some cocktail it seemed like.
