The Hendry family has been farming the same vineyard in Napa since 1939. The lessons learned in more than 70 harvests provide us with a level of knowledge and a connection to the land that is rare in Napa. The Hendry Ranch is composed of 114 acres of vineyard situated in the hills north west of Napa. Took my wife to a tasting while we were in town from Ohio (not a wine drinker myself) and we both loved it. The tasting was very educational and we ordered a few bottles to ship back to Ohio. Will come back and recommend to friends for sure!
So glad I found this vineyard a few years ago. I've been back each time I've been in Napa, most recently for George's seminar/tour/tasting about a week ago. If you're at all interested in the science behind winemaking, this is far and away the best place to go. I learn something new each time I visit and have gained a much better appreciation for wine and the complex interactions between wine and food. It is extremely apparent that everyone associated with Hendry loves being a part of the vineyard.
The best winery tour in Napa. My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying a very educational tour and tasting session given by Mr Hendry himself that lasted 3 hours. It started with the history of wine making in Napa Valley and ended with a wonderful and very educational tasting session that included 7 different wines.
Amazing experience, amazing wine, very reasonable prices!
