Helwig never informed me that they won’t accept my insurance. I am part of the LVHN Network and so are they!! They have my insurance on file and they send me a bill for $260. I was under the impression since my doctor made this appointment for me that there wouldn’t be an issue. They asked me 1 million stupid questions in the meeting but mentioned nothing about insurance. Buyer beware. My first and last visit!
Do not provide clear directions to their office, penalize the patient for their lack of direction and tell them to go home and reschedule. Rude on the phone when making the appointment, I will never go back here.
If you want to have a doctor with zero bed side manner and empathy, Dr. McGauley is your guy. He is so unsuited for pediatric diabetes and will make decisions as an chairperson he has no relevant experience to make.. He's made a mockery of Camp Red Jacket and discriminates against unvaccinated Covid kids.
The office can't seem to get it coordinated. I arranged for a consult and called to confirm that my insurance went through, but when I showed up and started signing forms, they suddenly pulled out one asking me to agree to a $300 charge. The fact that their office is supposed to be "in-network" and I should just have a copay didn't seem to register with them. Poor management.
For 3 years I have been trying to stabilize my sugar levels, I moved out the state of Florida because the poor diabetes care and now i can say that I am doing well... My doctor prescribed me the insulin pump, change all medications and took care of me.. I need to says thank you so much!!!
