I am 82 years old. Live on 1 check a month. Have alot of medical problems and walk on a ******. This place sent me a threatening letter saying they would get me for Default and or Foreclosure on my home which I did a Reverse Mortgage on a few years ago. I am a Heart Patient and it scared me so bad I thought I would have a Stroke. I didn't know what to do but take the Warrenty to save my home. I found out to late from the ************************ I did not have to have a Warrenty. Do I have to pay them anymore???? I had to gi... read more
this company just scammed my 97-year-old aunt as soon as she gave them her card number and hung up, she called them back to cancel and they told her that she can't cancel the payment. Never heard of such BS. She has contacted the bank and now has to deal with getting a new account and getting her $$ back from this company. Zero star rating.
Business response:
We're truly sorry to hear about your aunt's experience. We take situations like this very seriously and are committed to resolving them promptly. This company should be ashamed of themselves. My 84 year old mother has received 3 of these letters and it has made her so worried. They are a scam and yes they pray on the elderly. How can these people sleep at night? This is wrong and they should be shut down. They do not even deserve the one star rating but had to rate them otherwise I would give them a 0 ********
Non-ending "EXTREMELY URGENT & TIME SENSITIVE - IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED" maiilings at least once monthly to my 91 year old mother, which causes her concern and stress. The statement in their form letter: "This letter is to inform you that the property's home warranty, at ********** (not showing for privacy reasons), secured by ********************* may be expiring, or may have already expired."She has no need for their service and their letters come off as threatening and harrassing. If I could give them zero stars I woul... read more

We keep getting these "final notice" letters telling us we need to renew our coverage which we do not have. Please remove *********************, ************************* and ******************* from your mailings.Address: ********************************************************** ******, OR ***** Thanks
Business response:

Every month my late mother, who incidentally died over 1 1/2 years ago, receives the home warranty for reverse mortgages. Funny thing is the address listed is not my mothers address but mine in a completely different state! Scammers!!

Helping Hands Home warranty continues to pry on unsuspecting reverse mortgage holders. With unsolicited letters inferring that a home warranty that they never had is about to expire. I may be in my mid 70s, but I still know a "shake-down" when I see one !
They are bugging me with letters to pay coverage for repair/replacement costs. A requirement for reverse mortgage holders. "Final Notices" several times already. What can I do? So far, I have ignored them. Yesterday's letter said: Call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU. I hope it is.This causes anxiety.
Helping Hand Home Warranty has a 1 star rating with 53 reviews.
