If you are nervous about going to the dentist, go here. The women at the check in/check out desks are very friendly. BJ, the woman who set up everything in the dentists' room for me, was incredibly kind and patient. I told her I was very nervous - I had to have a tooth pulled and some other big work - she made sure I had nitrous oxide, music in headphones from an iPod with plenty of choices, and told me the Dr. Mike would just sneak that tooth out of there. Dr. Mike and his team are beyond! What an amazing, caring and knowledgeable team he has on board. I ve had some not so good dentist experiences in recent years and my anxiety of starting new with someone in Fairbanks was pretty rough on me, however, I couldn t be happier with my decision. Everyone from Dr. Mike himself, his assistants and the women upfront make my visits every 6 months (or sooner if need be) much easier than I have experienced in the past.

I had tried a few dentists in town and had always wondered if going to the dentist just had to be an awful experience. And then I found Dr. Helmbrecht's office. The staff is always so positive and kind and they actually remember me. I am not just another payment to them. Dr. Helmbrecht was very professional and positive. I knew I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled, but I had not expected that he could do it so quickly and efficiently.
