They were very busy, we were told about a 20 to 30 minute wait. but we only waited 10 minutes. the staff was very friendly.
Service was questionable and 2 orders of fish and chips were each totally different,but both were tasty. The drinks were amazing! The rooftop was , sadly, not open on a Saturday afternoon which was disappointing. No ocean view due to a fence for future construction. Might try again, someday when construction is complete or if they decide to open the rooftop on a Saturday afternoon in the summer... that would be great!
Staff is nice; location good! Food just ok. Calamari had to much batter and that’s all we could taste. Loved the fish taco.

I have been following Hello Betty Fish House via Facebook for several months now, and I was not disappointed. I had the seafood salad and my daughter had the salmon burger. The food was fabulous! Service was great too! I recommend them whole heartedly.
We are new to Oceanside (a few months) and always assumed this wasn’t “kid friendly,” (we have a 1 year old and 3 year old) we couldn’t have been more wrong. George, the manager, was soooo kind, so personable, and just over the top with customer service. Our kids played in the little car happily and Chris our server was so nice and happy, very upbeat! We spent over 2 hours just to eat dinner the place wasn’t packed, served cold fries asked for hot Fries got served a basket of cold fries again. Server took forever to bring refills, and when we ordered a blondie it was hard and taste like carboard. Was the worst service ever had there.
Location is great. Upstairs view fantastic. Very welcoming decor. Wait staff great. Food...ok. Chips and salsa trio...$7. Tacos were decent at $5+. Cold beer. Spent over $70 for 5 tacos, steamed muscles, chips & salsa, 2 sodas and a beer. Go here for drinks and starters and the upstairs view.
Amazing atmosphere and beautiful patio! Fish tacos are yummy and can accommodate gluten free!!
