I have been a patient of Dr. Bell's for 35 years and they discharged me as a patient for rescheduling a dilation appt. too many times. I had no idea there was a limit. They never said anything when I called to reschedule. I am having an emergency with my vision, and they wanted to schedule me for March. They discharged my husband as a patient also for not paying a $25 copay he supposedly owed. They told him at his appt. he had no copay. He would have paid it that day. I’ve been going to Dr Bell for my eye appointments since I was a teenager. And I always recommend going to her 1000%. But I also want to give a shout out to the lady name Deb that works at Maine eye doctors. Both of my kiddos had an eye appt. And Deb took her time making sure the boys would get the proper eye examination. I mean she was so patient with them. And you just don’t see that nowadays because they want patients in and out. Was not impressed when discussing a billing issue and Ron told me to use my brain and see the total is zero and then promptly hung up. So unprofessional!!! I have changed drs. And the total they owe me is not zero.
I really enjoyed the Staff and the Doctors, but feel that the products they offer are very overpriced. Yellow night driving glasses that are sold at 'only' $60 can be purchased exact same pair at Amazon for $20. That is a very high profit margin.
