As botanist, I would say Dr. Helen Wu is like a rare flower in a mystical garden. Her lovely and generous spirit is immediately apparent, as is that of her helpful and knowing assistants. Like a good witch, she dispenses her magic with evolutionary knowledge & expertise. As a film maker who needs to be able to focus perfectly, I was aware that my eyes weren't making it anymore. I knew I had cataracts, and had been seen by a local eye surgeon some time ago.
