Love this place so much. Located in downtown silver spring! They do sew ins for 150-170! They do braids and a lot more. They are all very kind. The stylists take suggestions and new hairstyles. Also they sell hair and the bundles are soooo good!!
Helen (the owner) messed up my sew in, she then accused me of trying not to pay because I did Not like the mistake SHE made. I am Ethiopian born in America, and she was racist against me because I am born in America. She is born in Ethiopia. They look at anyone different from them in the slightest, like a thug or thief. If you like being treated with dignity, take your money where it is appreciated and with a better hair style outcome because I hated my bulky sew in
I cannot recommend this salon due to disrespectful behavior, unfair pricing, and unprofessionalism.
Please don’t come for a blow dry, they will fry your hair. I brought my two daughters one evening to get their hair blow dried for school pictures - I was assured that heat protectant was being used. First of all, the blow dry/flat iron lasted 25 min (but that may be because of my daughters’ hair); what I am most upset about is that they completely fried my daughters (both of them!!) hair. Their beautiful curls are completely heat damaged - the guy that did their hair simply does not know how to handle a flat iron.
