I painted my kitchen counters and 2 table tops and chair seats in iron gate. I did it EXACTLY as instructed in the tutorial, paying special attention to thoroughly cleaning prior, and not overworking the paint. I gave adequate time in between coats. The cabinets looked really nice.. until they didn’t. I’m so screwed and will be doing routine touch ups because this paint has zero durability. These pics are only 3 months since applying it. I was so excited to try this product. Wholly underwhelmed! I am a professional furniture refinished/rehabber and thought I would try this product on a personal piece of furniture. Two coats in and still does not give a solid coat of coverage. I would definitely not recommend this product for any project. I will be trying to return the unopened can. What a wonderful store located in Taylorsville, KY. Not only can you get their famous chalk paint and supplies but they also have many gift ideas, a hat bar where you can design your own baseball caps and some cowboy hats, a complementary coffee bar, fresh fudge, soup, pasta, bread, and dip starters and way too many items to list. This paint is not durable at all. Painted my kitchen cabinets and just after 3 months I need to repaint. Does not hold up at all or can be cleaned! The paint rubs right off on your rag even without cleaners! For the price I’d expect this paint to hold up for years not months. Will never purchase again! Provided pictures of spots in front of my sink area. Water splashed doing dishes and I wipe it off right away and so does the paint in just 3 months time. I painted multiple coats as well! Never again.
Still needs primer. Poor quality paint, despite steep price. Their answer was if there is concern tannins may leak out of oak cabinets, then you do need a primer and at least 3 coats of paint. Yet the advertise as no sand no primer needed. They don’t take returns and don’t stand behind their product. Oh and if it’s not a positive review, they filter it out of the all in one paint website.
