Dr. Heikkenen got me the actual treatment that I needed, in just a few visits, after many thousands of dollars and YEARS wasted at the other 'Advanced' place around the corner. If you want a greedy and arrogant windbag in a white smock--this is not the guy. If you need a thoughtful doctor to provide serious help--this is your guy. If he can't help you, he'll gladly send you to the best people in the area who can--imagine that--a doctor who puts his patients before his ego.
Dr. Heikkenen is always available and responds in a prompt manner.

Dr Heikkenen is my primary doctor, I have been a patient for over 10 years and he has been a great doctor. He really works, along with me, to keep me healthy. I feel he is very analytical in his review of my health at all of my appoint. He is established in the community and has a good knowledge of all the doctor specialist in the area, which really helps in referrals. Heikkenen is one of the best diagnostic doctors in Prescott. Explain completely what your problem is and he will determine the proper direction. We all have our mannerisms, he as well, but go beyond that and listen.
Dr H was recommended to me when I first moved to Prescott, AZ, back in 2015. He is thorough, definitely a diagnostician, and insightful. He keeps current on the latest medical news, procedures, and analyses. As a General Practitioner, that is exactly what I am looking for - an MD with a broad range of knowledge and the ability to pinpoint (with great accuracy by the way) and troubleshoot symptoms to make diagnoses. it would take A book to tell of all the reasons you should not see this doctor. He bills medicare for things he did not do. Sends you to other doctors for any thing you say or ask about. Talks into his computer the whole time and does not listen to any thing you say. Yells at staff if any are even there, sometimes he had no staff. Worse doctor I have ever been to in my life! A vet would be more helpful than this man.
This was by far the worst experience I have EVER had with a doctor in all of my 64 years. I sat & filled out tons of paperwork. He finally came out in the lobby to see me. He looked at my prescription bottles and flew into a rage about anti-anxiety medication that I was taking. Then he went into a tirade about Doug Ducey and opioids (which my medication was not anyway) and that he can't prescribe it (which I hadn't even asked him to do).
