There’s no better place to have a late afternoon meal befor starting the commute back to the east bay. Don’t forget to savevroom for their generous slice of a doused different pies, probably just one slice but you may want two or three they are so fresh and good. I been eating here every time I’m on this side of the bay. It’s a treat and a fun experiance. Oh what a blast from the past. I grew up in Foster city and left 34 years ago... Had to come back to the old stomping grounds. One of the things I did with my older sister was cruise the el Camino and before going home stop off and get pie n coffee or hot chocolate. Went in yesterday nothing's changed there food was great service was great everything was just the way I remembered it. Thanks for not changing

Don’t order the fettuccine Alfredo, portions was like ordering a kids meal.
Last of old school San Mateo. Pies are still best. Food is well done old school diner done right. Screw diet. Chicken fried steak. Bay shrimp omelette. Still 24 hours. Yeah.
Great service, great food, great prices, and great people in a great atmosphere.. Best place to be.. The pie was definitely the highlight of the visit..
