Very professional, found a doctor who knows my Epilepsy problems. We discussed it in detail. She even provided examples. When I first came to Maine I was directed to a doctor in Auburn, he was great but then closed and moved to Boston. I have found from experience I had to find a doctor that knew Epilepsy, Maine provided one to pick from, so I am now very happy.
Dr Henninger has always been very helpful. She keeps on top of my medical conditions and meds at all times. I like that Dr Henninger and her associate, Lisa care about me personally. They always ask and really listen when I share my concerns. I always feel very comfortable confiding in them with emotional issues, too. To me that seems almost as necessary as my physical needs. I would highly recommend them.
I’ve been with her since 2006. Last unprovoked seizure was 2007. And my first seizure ever was when I was 4 months old in 1986, I was formally diagnosed in 1987. She pretty much pulled a miracle with me. I can now drive thanks to her. She cares about more than the epilepsy. She even helped me realize I had some mental health issues, and I am now in counseling to resolve them after 13 years. Dr. Henninger is an excellent, compassionate, knowledgeable Dr. I had been to no less than nine Doctors in various fields consulting with them about a severe medical issue I had been suffering with for almost two years (had even gone to Boston). Dr. Henninger knew after 10 minutes of meeting with me what the issue was, and immediately started a treatment plan that l was back to myself in three days. The difference is she listened to me, and thought outside the box. I am forever grateful!
I came to Dr. Henninger after having seen several doctors. It took the same amount of time to get an appointment as it would with any very, very busy specialist for a non-emergency situation. She was extremely knowledgeable and able to tell me what my other doctors and neurologist had missed, and what was important for me to do, and also what wasn't important to worry about. Of course she kept her eyes on the computer much of the time - they all do. Taking notes. I think she is excellent.
Dr. Henninger spends her entire time with a computer screen in front of her. When I would express concerns and certain trends I noticed about my epilepsy she would shrug them off and perscribe a new pill. It also is next to impossible to get an appointment with her, which makes it even more frustrating that when she finally can find the time, she doesn't bother to give enough time of day to listen to her patients.
