THE COMMUNITY WITHIN THESE WALLS OF HIGHER LEARNING, ENABLED ME TO STUDY, WORK AND LIVE WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY..THE CURRICULUMS OF MAJOR STUDIES WERE VAST AND FIRST TERM STUDENTS WERE ALL COMFORTABLE IN THIS SCHOOLS SETTING IN THE OLDEST PART OF THE CITY. THE PROFESSORS WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL IN GUIDING NEW STUDENTS AND EXCHANGE STUDENTS WORLWIDE TO THE GERMAN CULTURE AND DEMOGRAPHICS. I experienced a successful, rewarding college career in Heidelberg’s Lifelong Learning Program from 1979-1983. The faculty was exceptional and very accommodating. Those memories will be treasured for the rest of my life. Since then, my (step) daughter has graduated from the ‘Berg, and my grandson is a current student.
After transferring from a large University I felt more valued as a student & greatly appreciated being treated like an adult who wanted to continue my education. I also like the many opportunities for community involvement in campus activities.
I went there for two years and if you are going there to become a teacher try going to a different college because Heidelberg professors in this field are terrible. Also if something of yours gets stolen go straight to the police do not trust the college to do anything. They will just try to cover it up.
would have been a 1960 grad. my first year I played football and second I sang with the concert choir. it was a great experience and made many friends.
