About this business

Ohio City's Heck's Cafe is famous for their award-winning burgers, but they've also got a full menu of sandwiches, salads, and dinner entrées, as well as a full bar. The signature burger, the Heck Burger, is a beef burger served on a roll with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. IMPECABLE service, WONDERFUL atmosphere, DELECTIBLE food! I will return. On the down: our cocktails: yummy, but weak and hard to finish drinks (I do have to be honest).

Only great thing was the lamb empanadas. Mac n Cheese was mostly Mac Lille cheese, burgers were over cooked when asked for medium. The French onion soup was way to salty and had very little broth to it. Even tho we were in a large group our wait time from ordering to the last person being served was 1 hour and 15 min. If we had not approached the manager our dessert would have taken as long. Your local rating and reputation is what brought us to your restaurant but our experience last night we will not return and most defini... read more

I really liked the local cafe atmosphere of Heck's. I tried the Bruschetta Pierogie for a starter. While I liked the balsamic salsa on top, the pierogies themselves were a bit dry. For dinner, I got the Burger Au Cheval, which came with beach fries on the side. The burger was really juicy and the fries, perfectly seasoned. Aside from a small mishap with valet parking, we really enjoyed our visit. The burger and great service from our service is what pushed the rating to four stars.

Great menu, execution of the dishes needs improvement (overcooked meat, bland tasting side dishes). Service was mediocre (twice our waiter filled my iced tea glass with water).

Took my family from out of town. They LOVED it! The food and service was outstanding! Definitely check them out!

Had an awesome meal after our Escape Room adventure. There were 10 of us and we had a mixture of burgers and salads and absolutely everything was delicious.
