I love this shop! The ladies working here are always super helpful and if they don't carry what you need, they will try to get it for you. They even wound my yarn into balls for me after I purchased it since I currently do not own one. It's worth the drive to go out to Belfast every time. Wonderful selection of different yarns, colors, and supplies.
Heavenly Socks is the best local yarn store you will ever find. I may be prejudiced because I live in Belfast where it is located but my knitting buddy, Jill and I have traveled all over Maine checking out other yarn stores. No one has Heavenly Socks selection or ambiance. Great work, Helen, making HSY the best place in Maine to buy yarn and related goodies.
We drove to Belfast on a recommendation from our Innkeeper. It's a beautiful town and as we were about to leave I saw this place across the street. The owner and the ladies knitting in the store were very friendly and the yarns are beautiful! I left with three skeins to make a project to be determined later. I hope I'll be able to return to Belfast and this store again in the near future!
Just love this store, our vacation wouldn't be the same without several visits here.
