Heather Smith is the most disgusting unprofessional counselor who does not care about you or your family situation. She cares about money and will go to whatever lengths to lie and use her power against whoever isn’t willing to chalk up the money. She stirs the pot and creates chaos. She thrives off of situations where she can abuse and get paid under the table to do shady stuff. Do not recommend.
This is one of the worst "counselors" I have EVER come across. She should already have her license revoked!! Heather Smith only works for the person that is paying her. It does not matter if it is "court ordered". She does NOT care about the children, she manipulates, lies and uses reverse cognitive therapy during the initial stages to get the kids to think that what happened to them was ok!!! Very unprofessional and not concerned about wellbeing of my children. Showed up late to appoint by 15 minutes. Although I am the adopted father, she made me feel like an outsider with regards to my boys. Asked my eldest son to make a list of things that would help him as he works into a relationship with grandparents, only to tell him she couldn’t use a majority of his concerns. I could not agree more after reading other comments regarding their experience with Heather Smith. She doesn’t put the best interest of the children first. She was in collusion with my ex husband. She diagnosed me as bi-polar when indeed I am not and even told my children “ You’re mom will never be normal”. I filed a complaint with LLR to bring attention to her unprofessional and one sided “therapy”.
