Having Ian as my therapist was life changing for me. He helped me through so much using EMDR and being there when I needed to talk through some things. I had the best experience with Ian as my therapist. I originally went to him to try EMDR for trauma and ended up working with him for over two years. He made me feel comfortable and safe sharing my experiences, unlike any other therapist I have seen. Ian is very insightful and knowledgable in the practice- he has great book recommendations too. I had the pleasure of getting to know and working with Ian at a previous location. Sessions with Ian were something I quickly looked forward to as I felt safe enough to be open and honest in his presence. Ian is easy to open up to and makes you feel welcome from the very beginning. Ian’s knowledge and experience with EMDR was life-altering in my work with him. I cannot recommend Ian enough, he has forever changed my life as I knew it.
Therapy with Ian has changed my life in a multitude of ways -- all positive. I'm so grateful. He truly does walk alongside a person on their journey; I felt welcomed, safe and whole every time I walked through the door. We worked through anxiety, grief, trauma and more, and it was not always easy - but it was 100% worth it. He is terrific at gently holding space while also confidently challenging me when needed. I wish everyone could have a therapist as gifted as Ian.
Don’t walk, run! :) Once the word gets out this gem of a human will book up fast. If you’re wanting to better yourself and really put in the work to unpack whatever you’ve been carrying I would 100% recommend heartwork counseling.
