This program and all the counselors work tirelessly for their community and clients. Whenever I have a question about my grief journey or about grief they are patient and kind. I send everyone I know, that needs guidance with grief, over to Heartlinks because I know they will take care of them.
I had a horrible experience at this place. The first counselor I saw compromised my privacy. The second wouldn’t let me finish a sentence without interrupting me. I used to record our sessions because I found her suggestions to be helpful. When I played it back, I realize in one session she interrupted me 38 times. That is one one hour session. You get what you pay for. Find a professional.
in my first session, my therapist asked me about one of my friendships. She wanted to know if it was platonic or gay. I can’t believe that can be asked by an agency who receives federal funding. I didn’t even have time to feel comfortable.
Heartlinks Grief Center is a wonderful resource for anyone struggling with the loss of a loved one. The staff is caring and compassionate, and we're lucky to have them in our community.
