My mom has been in a memory care unit for 3+ years. It was recommended I look into hospice care for mom. I looked at several companies and chose Heartland Hospice, Baxter office. I have been very happy with the care mom has received and with the communication with me by the care team. I will recommend Heartland Hospice to others!

Was beyond disappointed with Heartland’s hospice care for my grandmother. We were a family who has never gone through this and didn’t know what to do or what to expect. We thought hiring professionals would help, but it didn’t. The company never explained how this works, what to expect, or what to do in the final moments. Grandma passed in excruciating pain while waiting over an hour for someone from Heartland to show up, whom arrived after she was dead. We are currently going through Heartland for my grandfather’s hospice care. If I could rate them lower than one star just on their professionalism and care for their patient’s and family - I would. We have been beyond disappointed (and disrespected) with their lack of communication, and empathy for all parties involved. They’ve taken their time acting on necessary treatment and assistance in basic hygiene. They are inconsistent and contradict themselves.
