First off I hope everybody reading this realizes that there are actual staff members that work there @Heartland who will bring in illegal stuff for the patients as long as the patient has the $ they can get what they want, anything from hard drugs to a single cigarette. Being as though I had a family member in there fighting addiction because this person is killing themselves with drugs, I thought he or she would be safe in there but I thought wrong because this place is a joke. Our experience with Heartland Behavioral Health has been very difficult. While some staff are kind, my daughter’s overall care has not supported healing. Communication is frustrating. I’ve often been told to call back due to staffing or shift changes, and the nurses’ station phone can ring for long periods with no answer. The treatment environment has not been helpful.
