Do not go here !!! – $18 to bring you a cup of water, $18 to change sheets an extra time, apart from paying the hefty monthly care charges. They stole a 37" brand new flat screen TV from my Mother-in-laws apartment when she was not there. No break-in. Somebody (may be a staff person!!) used the key and took the TV. Nobody saw them carrying the 37" TV through the corridors. Talk about security. NONE. Please find a better place.

Great Rehabilitation Place – This is a Skilled Rehabilitation Facility that offers private rehab suites just around the corner from Penrose Main Hospital. This facility really understands the total rehabilitation process by even allowing pets to stay during the rehab program in order to make the patient more comfortable. Keep up the good work!

What people are saying about Franciscan Manor – For 2 years my grandfather called Franciscan Manor his home. And for 2 years, the love and care the staff gave him was awesome. They where all his grandchildren in his eyes. To watch his eyes light up when one of the nurses would just stop in and say hello to him and talk gardening. I dont think you will find a more professional and caring assisted living home than Francisan Manor. And when Grandpa passed, all not just a few of his his nurses, cleaners, support staff was at his... read more

Best place ever! – My grandfather spent his last years at this facility. It was very hard for him to leave his home in Conneaut Lake to come here. Your staff made him feel like this was his new home. You guys were his family. Always providing him with anything he needed. He gardened and had a smile on his face each day. The place is beautiful. So clean. The food must have been great cause he never complained at all. The final weekend before he died which was the weekend of July 4th 2008, your staff was truly a blessing to us... read more

Food has really gone downhill – My Mom was a resident in Hartfields for three months or so. The family visited and shared meals with her on many occasions. The food was just plain yuck. Worse, many of the items on the menu were never available. I recommend that if you are interested in having a love one stay with Hartfields that you check out the food for yourself. Also, talk with several of the long-term residents. Food is always a number one topic!

Looks are deceiving – This place is all for looks...all of the money goes into the appearance of the facility..believe me, not the quality of care given to the patient. If you think that you would like your loved one to spend their remaining years at this facilty, count on a short stay.

Consider this before applying – Beautiful place, however some "higher up" staff members often treat applicants unfair. My mother is a resident at this particular facility, while sitting in the foyer one day I overheard the receptionist calling a young lady who was there for an interview a racial slur. "This little girl is waiting for Ann to come out of the meeting for an interview."

Assisted Living – What a wonderful place! Caring staff, excellent meals. Care in the highest caliber. Every time I visit here, the staff is welcoming and pleasant. My family member loves it here.

Treates patients as feebel, helpless, and incompetent even when they are not – I was a patient at the Springs Village Care Center for 10 days in October 2006. The reason was that after I was discharged from the hospital after being treated for a broken leg (the result of a motorcycle accident), I had no other place to go for a while since I lived in Albuquerque, 400 miles away, and couldn't travel yet. The problem I had with Springs Village was not with inadequate care, but with their persisting in treating me as though I wa... read more
