Long on promises, short on delivery. Had a great Hospice nurse with Heart to Heart. She quit and I was not informed. My 88 year old mother developed a UTI and I had no one to contact. HH contact numbers go unanswered or go to voice mail with no resolution. Currently no nurses in the Lafayette area, and they are woefully understaffed and the patient suffers. My mom passed recently, and we were served by Heart to Heart Hospice for the last week of her life with us. As a nurse, I am picky about health care for my family but had shadowed with Heart to Heart years ago when considering a job change. What a heart ache kind of day...We put my brother Tommy on Home hospice today and went with Heart to Heart Hospice (Used for my dad)..The nurse Rachel that was with my dad till the end (11/19/2022) is the same nurse who came to care for Tommy today and sooo remembered my dad not only as Roger buttt grumpypa...She is truly an amazing nurse and could not have been more caring and comforting not only to my dad but to my family as well, Rachel is truly an Angel...Please keep Tommy in your prayers as this is so heart wrenching to... read more
