When dealing with this type of marriage all you want is help . I think they take advantage of people that really need help and wives that don’t know what to do . My spouse sees a couch there we can only afford for him to go . But we had gone once together. The “therapist” said all the right things ect. But now that he just goes by himself they encouraged him to write a letter about how he feels towards me and everything but to never show me or tell me. Most of the “coaching” here is not provided by licensed therapists, but by people certified through AASAT—a program created and run by Doug Weiss himself. It’s a closed system designed to funnel clients into buying his books, CDs, and materials, which are essentially the 12 steps rebranded with new terms. Group “homework” is assigned from Doug’s own books, which clients are expected to purchase. The focus feels more like selling a belief system than providing trauma-informed therapy. Be careful. Zero stars. Look at all reviews, off line regarding how D W kept divorce secrets, whilst dating a Colleyville Minister s Widow. Clients thought he was happily married. He, appeared 2 blame an innocent Lady.

This is not the place if you’re gay and need help. They connected me with a counselor whose tone changed completely when I told him my orientation. He was kind, but it made me feel so hopeless. I understand a lot of these issues are new and there’s different methods to approach, but you’re supposed to be a professional place. I hope you haven’t hurt other men in need like you did with me.
