Scott did the home inspection before my family bought a house 4 years ago. He was excellent to use; very thorough and professional! I would use him again if I will still buying/selling in the area! I lived in the house for 3 years and had no surprises come about after closing!
Mr Hearne inspected our home and did a good gob. But, what really blew me away was that when a problem occurred later with the house, we were uncertain who to ask to help us diagnose it. We called Mr Hearne, and he came out the next business day for no charge and even explained to me the problem and made recommendations on who to call. That level of after-service just blew us away.
Extremely unprofessional. Chewed me out because of something he thought was "absolutely ridiculous". Had my professional contractor review his complaint and my contractor said it was a non issue. Hearne said an electrical outlet didn't work when I use that outlet EVERY SINGLE DAY. My home was also in the middle of repairs and he called out every "problem" even when it was in the middle of repair. I would highly recommend someone with common sense and someone that has actual construction experience.
Completely superficial in his inspections. Just because he believes in his opinion that something is not done correctly or is overkill he marks it off on his inspections report. Could be absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's just not to his standard. Things like a scratch on a cabinet face, he would say all of the cabinets need to be replaced. I would very highly not recommend using him as it will scare away any potential buyers you have.
