As a former employee of Heard and Smith I would definitely not recommend this law office to anyone not even my worst enemy. This place is not compassionate for their clients at all. This is like a call center where they have a team of "Legal Assistants" answer all clients calls. No cases are assigned to anyone in particular. There is no contact with the clients unless the client initiates the call. During the time SSA has the case the client does all the work. Same as everyone else. They are useless. No legal assistance just different customer service reps every time called and different information from everyone of them.... GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

RUN RUN RUN! Go to another firm. Try the Bob Richardson firm. When I signed up with Heard & Smith, I had a good case. They called every 3 months for medical updates. Never talked to an attorney. As a matter of fact, they did everything they could to block me from talking to an attorney at the prehearing stage. They told me I could work if I kept it below the minimum $. In 2014 Heard and smith took over my disability claim that I filed in 2013. Reather then go thru the appeal they advised that I make a new claim. For the last 2 years I have been homeless with little to no income. I decided to attempt to work to get insurance and be able to see a doctor. Heard and Smith dropped my case 9 months into my appeal due to no medical evidence and since I started working again. This law firm is a shame.
