great food and atmosphere. i felt at home
Absolutely the best food I’ve had in NOLA in all of my trips here. It’s definitely a hole in the wall, but man do not let that deceive you! The waitress was SO kind, and there are no words for how incredible the food is, both in presentation and FLAVOR. Everything is above and beyond, and the chef really knows how to bring traditional flavors to life. Now that I’m a local I will DEFINITELY be back. Also, order “Dat shyt” to drink. It’ll change your whole life.
RecommendedWe've been visiting NOLA every year (sometimes twice) in the past six years - this is a MUST DO every single time. Our daughters LOVE the food, especially the fries. We are looking forward to eating there again next month!

I came from the Houston area last weekend. A friend recommended y’all. I am glad I stopped by. The food was seasoned to perfection. I did not need any condiments to give it taste. The Bread Pudding was amazing too. I will definitely stop by again. Thank y’all
I was awake at 4 am and found this restaurant in NOLA on Facebook. Stopped for lunch before we checked into our hotel. LAWDY Y’ALL! This food was off the charts! Read the reviews and everything that was said is 💯% true. Tia is in charge of your dining experience and is very efficient and personable. Baby!!!! This meal is filled with love! Moma's recipes passed down to a man who decided to step out on faith! I WILL be back for more, just gotta digest what I just ate. If you want a meal cooked with love, served to please the eyes and make love to your tummy then this is place!
OMG!!!! If you are looking for some authentic down home full flavor creole eats...Heard Dat kitchen fits the bill. I had the Crawdat fries and a piece of fried fish. When I say my taste buds had a party! The service was amazing found out our server was the daughter of the chef who is the owner. The Food was so amazing I had to meet the Chef being a fellow Chef. His story of how Heard Dat Kitchen became to be is inspiring so if you get the chance to speak with him do.
