It’s been many years since we’ve seen Diane. Pre-pandemic. She’s is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were a bit nervous to do counseling again because we didn’t have a very effective experience previously. We were still hurting and we were not communicating well before Diane. We read the previous reviews and loved her approach to fixing our marriage. The homework was a bit uncomfortable but we understood that if we wanted to see change then we had to be uncomfortable. We still use the tools she’s given us and it’s be... read more

My husband and I went to see Diane after seeing other counselors on and off over the years and getting mediocre results. This was the last resort for counseling; we were tired of talking & talking & talking ad nauseum about all the old patterns without breaking through and were hoping for real, lasting change. Diane delivered. She is very systematic in her approach. You take an assessment instrument and identify the areas where there is discord or potential for conflict. Then, she gets down to business and gives couples very... read more

My husband and I were skeptical at first because we heard things like “marriage counseling leads to divorce”, but Diane reassured us on day one that she was not here to split people up but to keep them together. We both come from divorced families so she taught us invaluable skills for effective communication and conflict resolution that we otherwise would not have known. I never felt that my husband and I were headed toward divorce, but after completing some of the counseling exercises, I feel like we have become closer and... read more

We were afraid to go to Healthy Marriages because of some of the comments on the website. However, after eight sessions, Diane provided us with the tools to make our marriage better. She is a no-nonsense therapist that does not want to hear gripes and sob stories but wants to provide a couple with the tools to make a better marriage. Although we are not completely whole yet, we have the tools to make our marriage better. We are approaching our 50th, and using what we learned during our sessions, we hope for fifty more. Tha... read more

My wife and I had an excellent experience working with Diane. She was easy to work with and found ways to help that worked for us. Diane has a depth of experience. She is highly skilled. If you are reading this review I know it's a hard time in your life. Unfortunately, who you chose to help you is extremely important. As a physician I was very critical of the counseling process in general, but Diane Thurlow was the right choice, and I'm grateful we didn't choose someone else. She is warm and professional.
