We dropped our year-old labrador off for a half day while we were visiting the area, and she absolutely loved it! She got to play with dogs that were the appropriate size and temperament for her exuberant personality, and she even got to play in the pool (one of her favorite things to do). She was such a happy dog when we picked her up, and she was tuckered out from her day of play. I would definitely recommend Healthy Hounds and Fat Cats for your dog daycare needs!
I would highly recommend Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats to anyone vacationing in the Durango area needing a place for their pups to spend a day while they are out doing activities their pets can't go on. The staff is friendly and professional, and obviously very caring about the dogs in their care. My train was running a few minutes late but when I called to let them know it was no problem. My dog Bronson had a great day there, and will be back for another day of fun on Friday!

Leaving our beloved pets behind when traveling can be stressful, but not with healthy hounds and fat cats as their caretakers. Everyone is knowledgeable, friendly and cares. My dog Lily spent two weeks here recently and was happy and healthy when I picked her up. I loved following her stay through Facebook and appreciated the one-on-one attention she received from the team. Thank you for taking such great care of Lily! She can't wait to come back!

I left my pup here while riding the Durango-Silverton train. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The facility was clean and well run. My pup had a great time!
