I injured my left shoulder over a year ago and got shingles shortly after. I thought that my residual pain was because of my shingles but when it didn't improve, I sought out physical therapy to help with the pain. Chris works personally with each of his patients and truly cares about their improvement. His holistic full-body approach not only strengthened my shoulder but the rest of my body as well. I was only able to get two in-person sessions before the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down, but Chris offered e-visits so... read more
Chris Sovey listens, communicates and understands his patients. His approach, using Pilates-based movement and connection to my breathing, was the most effective and calming treatment I have experienced in over 10 years of chronic low-back pain and multiple rounds of PT.
Chris Sovey is an extremely thorough and knowledgeable PT. His one on one approach provides a higher level of quality individualized care. Chris truly listens to your needs and can adequately assess your unspoken ergonomic needs as well. Chris also provides you with realistic written home exercises for between treatments which aids in the healing and strengthening process. Chris’ approach is pilates based with gentle movements that will not set you off into more pain. I vote Chris #1 PT in the Greater Lansing area!

Chris was very attentive th... read more
Chris worked with me for several months, and I had great results! I learned what my core was, how to activate and strengthen it, and improved my posture, which led to other positive physical changes. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and this is a challenging problem to work with, but Chris rose to the challenge, and helped me a great deal.
