I have never had a problem with HealthEZ until today. I work for a provider, so I contact their provider customer service. The person I spoke with must have been fairly new as I was placed on hold after each question I asked. I asked a few questions about why I was receiving a denial for services, basically I wanted a more clear answer on the denial. All I got from her was that it doesn't meet Medicare's guidelines. Reading the previous review I felt the person was telling my story. I had the same problem. After I had reached my max out of pocket for 2018, I got a bill in 2019 for a service done in 2018. They did not consider that I had already paid all my deductible and wanted ME to go through the trouble of readjusting all the previous charges and payments. In January of 2015, I underwent a prescribed procedure that I assumed was covered, because I never heard anything to the contrary until mid-2017, when I found out that Health EZ had bounced the claim around for a sufficient number of months to deem the claim too old to cover. Health EZ claimed that the reason for the denial was that the hospital would not send medical records as requested, but the hospital provided reports showing that medical records were sent without response to Health EZ several times.
