I honestly was heartbroken after bringing my Mother here. When we arrived my mom was eating and drinking fluids but after one hour here she never spoke again and died the next day. From the moment she arrived they started pumping morphine in her mouth. And at one point after giving her morphine the nurse saw her raise her eyebrow and said oh she is still in pain and gave her more. Our father was admitted to William Childs Hospice House shortly before his death in February of this year. The care he received was exemplary. Each shift nurse was extremely helpful and always made sure he was comfortable. They even made sure he was all decked out in his game t-shirt for his final Super Bowl Sunday. I want to thank all the staff at William Childs. You truly are angels on earth. You took such wonderful care of my brother on his last days . You were empathetic and patient with me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My aunt, Cindy, came to William Childs from Palm Bay hospital after a bout with cancer and getting pneumonia. She was too young to pass, but GODs plans are sometimes not our own. It is a beautiful place. We had some sulfur smell one evening into the morning hours, which they said was the AC unit? but other than that they were extremely clean and a very nice comfortable setting.
