I hate that it had to come to this. I am deeply disappointed to be discharged after a year of compliance and professionalism on my end, even though that professionalism wasn't always met by Melissa the Practice Manager. My heart breaks for my wife who now has to go through the intimidating process of finding another doctor and trusting them with the level of care that she needs for her complex medical issues. We loved Dr. S, but her loyalty to a manager that is actively causing harm to patients is unacceptable.
They flat out don’t care about patients who are SUFFERING. If your office can’t muster up a shred of empathy for people, maybe the healthcare field isn’t the right one for you.
Whoever is responsible for handling policy and procedure at this office needs to be replaced by someone with more follow-through and less ego. I can only assume it's the practice manager, Melissa. I reached out a couple days before my medication ran out as I normally do, and was informed that I needed a wellness visit before those medications could refilled. I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Serrano truly deserves one. Dr. Serrano runs a medical practice like no other. From the moment I joined, I felt genuinely cared for and supported. I have never experienced this level of attention, medical knowledge, and responsiveness.
