This place is garbage
Completely unprofessional!!! Once arrived I was given completely different prices for services which they had posted on their instagram page the previous day before all because I had a Gift certification which they chose NOT to honor. Clearly looking for any way to make a greater total price that I would have to pay the difference for out of pocket. We have family in Merced and after a 6 hour drive to visit them my wife and I always get a massage at Health and Beauty to recover from the previous day's drive. Classy and upscale but unlike chain spa's or strip mall massage places this place is staffed by independent practitioners, not employees so the different specialties and pride in their work shines through.
This spa offers a few different services. It’s a great place for spa parties and gift ideas. Who doesn’t like of “me” day? I enjoyed a few of the services offered here. The anti-aging/skin firming facials. These were great for my sun damaged skin. I feel my skin is firmer and well hydrated. The lymphatic drainage facial, is great for post menopause face swelling. It works for post cosmetic surgery as well. They have a Japanese head massage that feels great on the scalp. They also offer nail services to complete your spa day.... read more
