I've carried HAP as my insurance provider for the last 23yrs and I'm so fed up with them I can't wait till open season to find a new provider. I've spent the last 10 months battling with them over covering prescriptions my Dr. wants me on. They wanted me to take an alternative medicine before covering the one my Dr wants me on. The side effects were horrible and my Dr doesn't want me on it so tried to resubmit for the other medication. This is by far the worst health care insurance option there is. You have to call and fight them to cover everything. Even down to your yearly physical and lab work. They cancel your prescription coverage after you’ve been on a medication for 4 months. Then you’re stuck calling to straighten that out too. If you can do BCBS I wouid say that’s your best option. Horrible plans, sucks that it's the only one offered by my employer. Speaking to their customer service agents is like talking to a brick wall, I might as well be talking to myself. If I could give HAP zero stars I would.

The building on Grand Blvd no longer exists... torn down to make way for Henry Ford Hospital expansion.

Terrible.. gave us a list of doctors that laughed at us.. "😆 no we don't take your insurance"
