I brought my child in who was sick with coughing and hard time breathing. Everything was great, nurses were nice and so was doctor except for the horrendous smell of cigarette smoke from one of the ladies. Not sure on name but older reddish hair. It was obvious she just came inside from smoking. Bad habits are understandable but isn’t a ER supposed to be a smoke free place? Especially caring for sick people. They took my vitals, took X-rays and scans of my injuries from a fall in a shower stall at the Venice YMCA on Center Road, that was basically it. The one and only comment the doctor made was that I had a fracture high on my spine, nothing about the bloody lump on the back of my skull or possible hip injuries. They provided no medications or recommendations for pain relief. I took my infant on there and they treated him so well went above and beyond, and we were seen quickly as well. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had with health care professionals

Great experience at HCA Florida Doctors in Venice! Called before I left the house to ensure they had the capability of a CT. When I got there they asked if I called and were ready for my triage! I was in a great deal of pain they were all very caring, professional, and provided expert medical care. I shouldn’t have waited as long as I did trying to avoid a 9 hour ER ordeal! I was out in a little over 2 with diagnose, prescriptions and thorough instruction for after care.
