NICU night 4: we get to sleep with Lilah in our room because WE’RE BEING DISCHARGED TOMORROW!!!! It’s been a rough week and I’ve had to remind myself more than a few times that This Too Shall Pass. I was bit by a Brown Recluse Spider and it formed into a blood infection...Everyone on my floor taking care of me did an excellent job,they were very friendly and knowledgeable,they were very prompt and made my 3 day stay as easy as it could be...I'm away from home and im glad i chose Brandon Regional Hospital to get my much needed treatment...Also the staff in the ER were also very good at there jobs and they have my respect and gratitude.
On February 1st I went to Brandon Regional because I was in labor. I went in around 7am and wasn't dialited enough so they sent me home until contractions were closer together. I returned at about 7 pm and was admitted to l&d. I had a night nurse named Myrabel. I made it very clear that I wanted my epidural before the doctor came to break my water and before they started the pitocin. Clearly that went to deaf ears. Terrible place. Will update shortly after we deal with our EMERGENCY that we’ve been waiting hours with a bleeding patient with head and chest pains.
This is the worst place you could ever send a loved one. This is the worst hospital in town and they want to pretend to be the most strict. You can’t even go visit loved ones without security pretty much tackling you down to the ground for a freaking sticker. I hate this place and I will never recommend it to anyone. The policies are flawed and you all should focus on consistent safe and effective care rather than security issues. Absolutely loved my visit here! I split my head open falling, and was welcomed and taken care of so thoughtfully and carefully!�
My son was born here, only time I’ve needed the hospital. So I had so many of the ladies there and they ALL helped me so much. Wasn’t a 5 star hotel, but it was a great hospital. I didn’t see my doctor that much but everyone else was great. First and only child, and all of you nurses helped me with all my fears of hospital and having a baby.
