I have lived in two HBG realty properties. International House, and now Benmar. When I moved out of IH I got my entire security deposit back. The property manager was really friendly and the few times I had to contact them they responded right away and took care of me. The Benmar (124 pine st) is really nice. I haven’t been here very long but so far it’s been a good experience. They recently started keeping the front foyer door locked 24/7 and ups/fedex/amazon delivery drivers now need to call a number to open it to drop off... read more
Yea I see why yall have bad ratings the customer service in the front office is ugly will not be applying especially after it took me twice to call them no thank you
Filled an application out, application process was completed 4-5 days late. Also, never heard of having to complete a screening just to tour an apartment. Unfortunately, it just might be because they are understaffed but there are other realtors that will take care of you more reasonably.
The apartments at the International House are nice and clean. Located in downtown Harrisburg near Strawberry Square where you can find diverse foods to eat and hang out. Mike, one of the building's managers is extremely professional and courteous. All the workers at the office are very professional and attentive to any complaints that you may have. Virginia, one of the property's managers, is also extremely professional and courteous. I would recommend this place to my friends, family, and acquaintances.
Unfortunately I have the same feedback as others- I lived in Benmar. Anybody could just walk in during the day and take your packages. They raised the rent every year I lived there, and charged much more for month to month options, even though half the building was empty. You can't reach anybody in the office, even if you stop by it leave voicemails. When I moved out they charged me almost $300 for professional cleaning, which was absurd considering I left the apartment in good condition, paid on time for over 2 years, and n... read more
