I went in for my lunch hour got the Ham and Swiss crossiant. It was ok not the best for 6.50 may need to try breakfast instead.
The best coffee in the area. The espresso is strong, perfectly roasted, and balanced. For iced coffees the ratio of ice to liquids is perfect! For hot coffee it is one of the only coffee spots I've found where the baristas actually take the time to steam the milk and inject air into it instead of just sitting it under the wand. My go to coffee shop!
I motorcycle to area coffee shops and have probably tried every one in the Hill Country east of Johnson City and the Hideout is my favorite. A great variety with new creations appearing all the time. Pastries and breakfast items are tasty too and their smoothies are wonderful. Prices are reasonable, service is great, and the front porch is a very relaxing. Not one of those places with ultra tatted and pierced baristas and twenty-somethings parked for hours in front their laptops.
