Dr. Moon is a good dentist, but his office staff is a disaster, and he and his staff push crowns when they are not needed. After getting several crowns I was told I needed more, I went for a second opinion and was told I absolutely did not them. The number of errors by his clinical staff are serious and astounding. They almost extracted the wrong tooth, told me I needed crowns on teeth that had just been crowned, etc. The staff regularly don’t return calls, lose files and x-rays, etc. Such a shame, started as a good practice... read more
My last visit was the final straw with Dr. Moon - I have personally witnessed his poor treatment of his staff and patients. I have seen him call his staff 'stupid and incompetent' amongst other things openly. I only remained at the practice because of Kelly (hygienist), Kelly has now departed the practice (I can speculate why), when I asked about the lack of communication to her patients, he was like whatever and didn't care how his patients felt. This was a good dentist when it was just him. Now that he's expanded It's a revolving door of new grad dentists. I haven't seen the same dentist the last 5 or 6 times I've been there. They also seem more about pushing crowns now.
Dr.moon is meerly just a good salesperson as opposed to a doctor. It's easy to tell he cares more about the money than the actual care of his patients. Every experience with him has been horrible for me. Most recently, I went in for my annual cleaning, and he urged me to get a crown for one of my back teeth. I was very hesitant, but he kept persuading and said if I waited any longer my tooth will "go bad". I reluctantly agreed, and have since regretted it tremendously. I am very shocked how wonderful job he did! He is a magician, I am very impressed - first time in many years I can smile openly, it’s incredible. He is an awesome doctor, and I am going back to him again??
If you have dental insurance, DO NOT Prepay to get the 5% discount they advertise! In spite of what I was told numerous times when I asked if it would be calculated based on my portion that would come from my insurance. They will only follow the EOB charges and reimburse any overpayment difference from that amount. They will NOT give you the 5% discount calculated on the EOB patient portion. There is absolutely NO benefit to prepaying them their estimated charges! It's a lie.
