Dr Hoffler had to tell me some not so great information- the non-healing wound on my remaining foot from infection now has bone involvement. He outlined three ways to approach this: 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, the antibiotics and biopsy of the bone, or amputation (which in all likelihood be the end result of the first two options anyway). He was supportive and empathetic while maintaining a professional demeanor. He didn’t sugarcoat things, nor was he alarmist. Thanks!!
Everything was smooth and efficient. From check in to being called back to see Dr. Hoffler. Maria the NP was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I was very disappointed in Dr. Hoffler's lack of instructions on how and how often to wear some pads to help relieve painful nerve inflammation in my left foot. As a result, the pain in my left foot has gotten so much worse, I now have pain in my right foot, and I now struggle to walk for more than a minute or two. If he had taken a little extra time to talk me through how often to wear them, if I should wear them on both feet or just one, that little bit of information could have made a huge difference.
