I would not recommend living here. During my lease, additional fees were added that were not part of the original agreement. I understand that fees can apply with a new lease, but changing the terms after moving in without prior agreement feels unfair and frustrating. The rent was already significantly higher compared to similar apartments in the area, and I ended up moving to a comparable place that costs $400 less per month without these extra charges. Hawthorne at Leland was my first choice when I moved from Virginia. Very happy with the staff and the attention to detail they show the residents. Property maintenance makes the area feel like a vacation property.
