the staff has all left it is all travel out of state staff. they dont care for the people in the home . residents are barely washed and cared for . covid 19 has made the lack of care easy to hide . i as family would demand answers . they used to be amazing but have gone down hill management looks at the home like a money maker and has lost the love they had for the residents . the residents are amazing and are missed by all the past staff . but the lack of care for them is horrible. the state is currently investigating a rac... read more

my mom is very safe there and I am so glad she is looked after, feed well and in a warm place. This is a very warm and safe place . thank you Hawthorne House for being there.
My wife went into the Cumberland unit with Alzheimer's three years. She passed away 3/25/16. In the time she was in the Cumberland unit, she was treated with respect and dignity. The staff was friendly and always ready to go the extra mile. I am specially grateful to Lisa and Julie. I will never forget her time with you. Thank you so much for all you did.
Extremely thankful for the amazing care over the years of my Mom, Shirley Ann Tuttle. You were her day-to-day family when the rest of us couldn't be. Forever grateful for the amazing end-of-life care the Kennebec unit provided until her passing on 9/22/17. God Bless you all for the loving care you provide to the residents.
